Community Conversation: The Meaning of Things

Saturday, July 23, 2022

On Saturday July 23rd at 11am, Dani Romero. Director of the WNMU Museum will join us as our featured speaker to talk about the history of Mimbreno pottery and its cultural connotations to Southwest New Mexico. Afterwards we will be inviting audience members to join us for a Community Conversation on how objects can be expressions of cultural identity. We encourage you to bring objects from home that have a personal relevance to you and to share your stories in “The Meaning of Things”. This program is cosponsored by WILL (Western Institute for Lifelong Learning) and the Grant County Archaeological Society and will be held at the Silco Theater starting at 11am and online via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/8716534130462/WN_HiZZxDpUTZOcQ5AZa3FBiA
