The Silver City Arts and Cultural District Cultural Plan provides a flexible and community-focused framework for determining the most efficient ways the Arts and Cultural District can serve the needs of local artists and creative industries entrepreneurs.
Boston Hill Mine Safeguard Project
In 1977, Title IV of the federal Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act (SMCRA) established the Abandoned Mine Reclamation Fund. The Abandoned Mine Land Program’s (AML) primary mandate is to safeguard the public from the physical hazards and environmental degradation associated with mines abandoned prior to the Act. At historic non-coal sites, such as those found on Boston Hill, AML currently is limited to addressing high-priority physical hazards.

The purpose of this Community Forest Management Plan is to provide guidance to conserve the Town’s community forest through planning, proper maintenance, and community education.
The Silver City Comprehensive Plan sets forth the Town's goals regarding the types and locations of future land use and activities. It outlines the character and quality of development, as well as the process for how development should proceed.

The Silver City Watershed Keepers (SCWK) and the Aldo Leopold Charter School (ALCS) Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) completed labeling of 120 storm drains in Silver City to encourage stewardship of Silver City’s watershed. The collaborative project is an effort to raise awareness of non-point source pollution and the need to protect our water quality.
The Town of Silver City Sustainability Plan 2030, the result of a 7-month effort by a Task Force organized by the Office of Sustainability (OS), sets forth recommendations for policy and priority actions to reduce the Town’s vulnerability to impacts from increasing heat, drought, and other climate variability, such as larger and more intense wildfires and increased stress on Emergency Services personnel and equipment.
