Museum events educate and entertain residents and visitors interested in the rich and diverse history of southwest New Mexico. A wide range of events draw the whole family to the Museum. The Ailman House and all it contains are preserved for the future.

EXHIBITS
Museum exhibits present our collections as well as materials from other sources. Our collection comprises well over 20,000 objects & approximately 17,000 photos. Unique interactive exhibits bring the collection and the history of southwest New Mexico to life for adults and children.

EDUCATION
Our focus on public education includes programming to adults and to children, residents and visitors. Exhibits illustrate the cultural heritage of southwestern New Mexico and the Town of Silver City through our unique permanent collections. Events and activities link local residents and visitors to cultural events with historical significance.

The Museum is closed to the public January 1-23 for renovations for a new education and activity space, and reconfigured Silver City Museum Store. Open again on the 24th.

Watch for a special grand re-opening celebration for the Museum's 50th Anniversary.
